During a prayer service at the church, I initially did not speak any words aloud but prayed silently. About an hour passed this way. My eyes were closed; I could hear others praying, while the minister was leading us in prayer.
Suddenly, a scene appeared before me.
I saw a vast wheat field stretching endlessly, with no end in sight. An angel stood in the field, completely snow-white, with short, curly hair. Everything about him was the same color—from his skin to his clothing—with a slight bluish tint. Angels usually have multicolored eyes, hair, and clothing, but this one seemed as though he had been made from a single substance.
He wore a loose garment resembling a tunic, and in his hands he held an object resembling a large, silver-colored bowl. Fire burst out of the bowl under pressure. The angel held the bowl in front of him and directed the fire toward the wheat field, like a firefighter spraying flames from a hose.
It was already dark; the sun had disappeared beyond the horizon. The light from the fire brightly illuminated the angel and the wheat, allowing me to see every detail. I was surprised: the wheat looked ripe and dry, yet it did not burn in the fire. The flames passed through the ears of grain, reaching all the way to the ground, but they remained unharmed.
The force of the fire made the ears of grain sway as if in a strong wind. Looking closely, I noticed green weeds right at ground level that had initially been unnoticeable. They were shorter than the wheat. When the fire touched them, the weeds twisted and burned, while the wheat remained unharmed.
I watched as the weeds disappeared in the fire, while the wheat continued to stand. Then I opened my eyes and sat for a while, reflecting on what I had seen.
