Luke 1:26–38

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Miriam. 28 And having entered, the angel said to her: Rejoice, highly favored one! The Lord is with you; [[blessed are you among women]]. 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled by his words and wondered what kind of greeting this could be. 30 And the angel said to her: Do not be afraid, Miriam, for you have found favor with God; 31 and behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of David His father; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His Kingdom there will be no end. 34 Then Miriam said to the angel: How can this be, since I do not know a man? 35 The angel answered and said to her: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative, who was called barren, has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her, 37 because with God no spoken word will be impossible. 38 Then Miriam said: Behold, the servant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her.

Acts 12:7–11

7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison. The angel struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, Get up quickly. And the chains fell off his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, Gird yourself and put on your sandals. And he did so. Then he said to him, Put on your garment and follow me. 9 Peter went out and followed him, not knowing that what was being done by the angel was real, but thinking that he was seeing a vision. 10 When they had passed the first and second guards, they came to the iron gate leading into the city, which opened to them by itself; they went out and passed along one street, and suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter came to himself and said, Now I truly know that the Lord has sent His angel and delivered me from the hand of Herod and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.
