Lesson 5. Types of Visions

Lesson 5. Types of Visions. A school of Father’s Blessing Church where Senior Pastor Dmitriy Leo revealed the characteristics of dreams and visions from God.

If you often see visions, that is good. However, to avoid mistakes, you must learn to discern exactly what you are seeing.

A common mistake regarding visions occurs when people see a “spiritual projection” but say that it is “spiritual sight” or “being transported in the spirit,” or something similar.

Never exaggerate, or you will not receive meaningful visions from the Kingdom of God.

I have identified five types of visions, and each has a different priority.

For example:

  • Some visions appear frequently, but they are not accurate and do not always contain valuable information.
  • Other visions, on the contrary, occur rarely but contain important details and are highly significant.

What types of visions are there, and how do they differ?

1. Static Projections

Dan. 4:10 I saw in the visions of my head…

This is when a person is shown a static (motionless) image consisting of objects, words, signs, or symbols.

The projection appears inside the person’s head. We call this place the “spiritual screen.”

Visions of this type are usually unclear, intermittent, and projected in two-dimensional form.

Such visions convey minimal information, contain few details, and usually include only a few symbols.

These images do not last long; they appear quickly and disappear quickly. We also call them “prompts.”

Once, we were praying for a girl, but something was preventing her from receiving deliverance. Pastor Inna saw a spider on the girl’s body in a vision. This was the hindrance to her deliverance. Inna took the girl to another room, and indeed, under her sweater she was wearing a T-shirt with a picture of a huge spider. When the T-shirt was removed, the girl received deliverance.

How can you recognize a static projection, and what does it look like?

Close your eyes and imagine an orange on a plate in front of you. A static projection appears inside your head in a similar way.

2. Dynamic Projections

Dan. 4:10 I saw in the visions of my head on my bed, and behold, a Watcher and a Holy One came down from heaven.

Such visions always contain some kind of action—changing scenes, objects, words, or symbols.

A dynamic projection may contain many details and, unlike a static projection, is more informative.

Such images may be black and white or in color, intermittent or stable. This depends not on God but on the person's current spiritual condition.

The more often a person is in the Holy Spirit, the more vivid, clear, and profound the spiritual projections they receive.

For example, I received the most impressive and realistic visions when I was in the Holy Spirit or immersed in the tangible presence of the Lord.

Once I saw an angel standing in an endless wheat field. In the angel’s hands was a silver vessel filled with fire. The wheat had turned white and was ready for harvest. Suddenly, the angel tilted the vessel, and fire burst from it in a powerful stream. The fire flew out with great force and spread far across the field. The wheat swayed and bent as if struck by a strong gust of wind. At the same time, green weeds became visible among the ears of grain, though they had not been visible before. I was afraid that the wheat would burn, but the fire burned only the weeds, while the wheat remained unharmed.

How can you recognize a dynamic projection, and what is it like?

Close your eyes and imagine Jesus walking along the seashore. A dynamic projection will look similar.

3. Open Visions

Ezek. 1:1 In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, while I was among the exiles by the River Kebar, the heavens opened and I saw visions of God.

Such visions are displayed before the eyes or in space, as if on a large screen. It does not matter whether the person's eyes are closed or open at that moment.

Open visions are also called “panoramic visions.”

These visions may begin and continue even when a person is not expecting them or is busy with other things.

Open visions are not for entertainment. They are the transmission of highly important information from heaven to earth with maximum accuracy.

This is a relatively rare phenomenon, and few people have experienced it.

4. Spiritual Sight

This is when a person begins to see what is happening in the spiritual realm.

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed and said: “Lord, I pray, open his eyes so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the servant, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Spiritual sight differs from spiritual visions.

With spiritual sight:

  1. A person sees not symbols, but what actually exists in the spiritual realm.
  2. A person sees what is happening right now, not what happened in the past or what is to happen in the future.

This kind of sight is most often revealed to ministers who are involved in supernatural ministry or interact more frequently with the spiritual realm.

Once, during a ministry service, while I was praying for a woman's deliverance, I saw a large dark entity hanging over her shoulders and back. The entity was gripping the woman's rib cage with long claws. When I spoke the name of Jesus, it writhed and flung its limbs backward, but then sank its claws into the woman's body again. At those very moments, the woman arched violently and cried out in pain. I took the microphone and told the audience what was happening right then. I continued striking relentlessly with the name of Jesus until the entity completely lost its strength. It detached itself from the woman and quickly flew out of the building. The woman calmed down and fell to the floor in a relaxed state. She was free.

Unlike spiritual projection, spiritual vision does not open frequently, is not given to everyone, and lasts only a short time. Why? It is not beneficial for a person to see everything that is happening in the spiritual realm all the time.

5. Spiritual Translation

This is when a person is transported in the spirit into the spiritual realm. They do not merely see something from the outside but participate in what is happening.

Rev. 4:1 Then I looked and saw an open door before me in heaven and heard the first voice, which sounded like a trumpet, speaking to me. The voice said to me: Come up here, and I will show you what will happen next. Immediately, I was in the Spirit, and there before me stood a throne in heaven, with Someone sitting on the throne.

This happens very rarely, but it can happen to anyone.

You may be invited by heaven to see the spiritual world with your own eyes, rather than in a vision. You may be shown the earth, heaven, or hell.

I had an experience of traveling in the spirit to the center of the earth, to the place where hell is located. It was not a vision—it was a transportation. I flew incredibly fast, sensing the speed and the wind. There was absolute darkness all around. At the same time, I was conscious and able to think, analyze, and make decisions. This happened several times, and each time I descended deeper and deeper, flying through an extensive system of underground tunnels. But when it became hot, the smell of sulfur appeared, and I heard people's screams, I became afraid. I decided that I did not want to see this but wanted to return home. After that, I was turned around and carried upward until I returned to my room.

Transportation in the spirit differs from transportation in the body.

  • Transportation in the spirit is movement into the spiritual realm.
  • Transportation in the body is movement in the physical realm.

Transportation in the body most often does not occur to show a person something, but to supernaturally transport them for ministry to a place they cannot reach naturally.

Another reason for transportation in the body is acceleration—that is, when it is necessary to quickly overcome limitations of time or space.

Acts 8:39 When they came up out of the water, the Holy Spirit came upon the eunuch, but the Angel of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch no longer saw him; and he went on his way rejoicing.

Conclusions

There are five types of visions. Each has a different level and priority.

1. Static projections—everyone who has the Holy Spirit sees these. This is the simplest level of receiving information, similar to prompts. Such visions come easily and often.

2. Dynamic projections—everyone sees these as well, but this is a higher level at which a person receives far more details and information.

3. Open visions—not many people see these. Through open visions, heaven conveys the most important information to earth. Open visions are mainly received by key spiritual leaders.

4. Spiritual sight—it is opened only as needed. Most often, healing and deliverance ministers receive this, as do people who frequently interact with the spiritual realm.

5. Spiritual transportation—it can happen to anyone, but the invitation (decision) comes from heaven, not from the person. The person is transported into the spiritual dimension while in the spirit.

A person’s spiritual condition directly affects the quantity and quality of the visions they receive.

The more often and deeply a person abides in the Holy Spirit, the more often and deeply they receive various visions.

And one more thing: the more involved a person is in healing and deliverance ministry, and the more often they interact with the spiritual realm, the more visions they are given.

End of lesson.
