By popular request, we are continuing to produce accurate translations of the most important biblical texts. This time, I will not provide a breakdown of the Greek words and morphology; everyone will draw their own conclusions.

The Lord’s Supper
Cor. 11
Furthermore, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper that you eat,
for each one quickly takes his own supper to eat, and one remains hungry while another gets drunk.
Do you not have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the Church of God and humiliate those who have nofood? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I do not praise you.
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread
and, having given thanks, broke it and said: [Take, eat]. This is My body, being broken for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.
In the same way, also the cup after supper, saying: This cup is the New Covenant in My blood; do this whenever you drink it, in remembrance of Me.
For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
Therefore, whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup unworthily is guilty ofthe body and blood of the Lord.
Let a person examine himself, and in this way let him eat of the bread and drink from the cup.
For whoever eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks judgment on himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.
For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and quite a few have died.
For if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged.
But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
So then, my brothers, when you gather to eat, wait for one another.
If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that your gathering will not bring judgment. I will arrange the rest when I come.
