On the 90th day, a man awakens from a coma—a story that will move you to tears. This is a miracle the Lord performed! See how the faith and love of his family changed everything. Excerpt from the “Freedom from Demons” service dated April 5, 2025.
This happened to a young family who were not believers. Because of the war in Ukraine, they had to move to Montenegro. They had two small children. The husband, named Mark, found a job as an engineer.
But then disaster struck—Mark became seriously ill. He developed severe pneumonia with complications. His condition was so serious that doctors in Montenegro admitted they could not help; they simply did not have the necessary equipment. He was urgently transported to Germany by a specialized medical helicopter, where he could receive qualified care.
However, shortly after being hospitalized in Germany, Mark fell into a coma. His condition worsened. The doctors did everything they could, but admitted they were powerless. He was treated by a medical professor with 45 years of experience, yet even he offered no hope of recovery—the chances were minimal. Nevertheless, Mark was connected to life-support equipment and kept in that condition.
Sixty days passed. This is the maximum period doctors usually allow for possible improvement. The professor called Mark’s wife and said: “We are going to turn off the machines—there is no hope.”
But by that time, the situation had begun to change. Mark’s wife, left alone with the children, invited her friend from Kyiv to Montenegro—a believing sister from a church who attended a home group. She came to help with the children and began praying for Mark. She also asked her home group to pray together. People responded—they prayed every day, sometimes by video call together with Mark’s wife.
And during that time, the wife’s heart opened—she came to faith and received Jesus. When the doctor said the machines had to be turned off, she said:
—We are praying. Is there any hope at all?
The professor replied:
—From a medical standpoint, no. But if you are praying, let’s wait a little longer. If God does not help, no one else can.
Another 30 days passed. Then, on the 90th day, the professor called the wife again:
—That’s it. All the deadlines have passed. There is no hope; we are going to turn off the machines.
The wife, with pain in her heart, agreed:
– We have done everything we could. Let it be as it will.
But on that very day, a miracle happened – Mark suddenly came out of his coma. No thunder, no earthquakes – he simply opened his eyes. The Lord intervened at the last moment.
The professor was stunned:
– In my 45 years of practice, I have never seen anything like this. It is impossible. It is a miracle.
Of course, after such a long time in a coma, the doctors checked the condition of his brain. Everyone expected severe impairment. But the scan showed that his brain was perfectly fine. The only thing affected was his muscles, which had atrophied during that time. Mark was sent to a rehabilitation center, where he began to recover.
And now Mark is completely healthy. He is active and fully capable of working again. Glory to the Lord!
But that is not all. The doctors presented the bill for the treatment – enormous, as you can imagine. Ninety days in a German hospital with intensive care costs tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of euros. Where could a displaced family get that kind of money?
And then the Lord showed mercy once again. Mark’s employer in Montenegro – the company where he had worked for only a short time – decided to pay for all the treatment. Moreover, they even supported the family financially during his recovery.
Isn’t that amazing? Isn’t the Lord great? He showed mercy where it seemed there was no hope left. And if He is so merciful to those who did not yet know Him – imagine how great His love is for His children! Hallelujah! Glory to the Lord!
