Matthew 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it;
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
Acts 2:42–47
42 And they continually devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. 43 Fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were performed through the apostles in Jerusalem. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to everyone according to each person’s need. 46 Every day they continued meeting together in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to the Church daily those who were being saved.
Acts 2:42–47
32 The multitude of believers were of one heart and soul; no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything. 33 With great power the apostles testified to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There were no needy people among them, because those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the proceeds from what they had sold, 35 and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and it was distributed to each according to their need.
Romans 12:4–8
4 For just as we have many members in one body, and not all members have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Since we have different gifts according to the grace given to us, if you have prophecy, prophesy in proportion to your faith; 7 if you have ministry, serve in your ministry; if you are a teacher, teach; 8 if you exhort, exhort; if you give, give generously; if you lead, lead diligently; if you show mercy, do so cheerfully.
1 Corinthians 3:9–17
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; and you are God’s field, God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God given to me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it; but each one should be careful how he builds. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 each person’s work will become evident, because the day will reveal it; it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what someone has built remains, he will receive a reward. 15 If someone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; yet he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. 16 Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and that temple is you.
1 Corinthians 12:12–27
12 For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all given one drink by one Spirit. 14 For the body does not consist of one part, but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “I do not belong to the body because I am not a hand,” would it therefore not belong to the body? 16 And if the ear should say, “I do not belong to the body because I am not an eye,” would it therefore not belong to the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has arranged each part in the body just as He wished. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 21 [And] the eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor the head to the feet, “I do not need you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are needed more than the others, 23 and the parts that seem less honorable in the body we honor especially, while our unpresentable parts receive special care, 24 whereas our presentable parts need no special care. But God has composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 so that there may be no division in the body, but that all the parts may care for one another. 26 If one part suffers, all the parts suffer; if one part is honored, all the parts rejoice. 27 You are the body of Christ, and individually—His parts.
Ephesians 1:22–23
22 And He put all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the Church, 23 which is His Body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.
Ephesians 2:19–22
19 Therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself as the cornerstone, stone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you, too, are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
Ephesians 4:11–16
11 And He appointed some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the Body of Christ, 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, becoming mature, attaining to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 so that we will no longer be infants, tossed about and carried away by every wind of teaching, by the trickery of people, by their cunning craftiness in deceitful schemes, 15 but speaking the truth in love, we will grow in every way into Him who is the head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole Body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work.
Ephesians 5:25–27
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her, 26 to sanctify her, cleansing her with the washing of water by the spoken word; 27 so that He might present her to Himself as a glorious Church, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.
Colossians 1:18
And He is the head of the body, the Church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might have first place in everything,
Hebrews 10:24–25
24 And let us consider one another in order to spur one another on to love and good works. 25 Let us not forsake our assembling together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
1 Peter 2:4–5
4 Coming to Him as a living stone, rejected by people but chosen by God and precious, 5 you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:2–3
2 And I saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: Behold, the dwelling place of God is with people. He will dwell with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them [and be their God].
