1 Corinthians 12:1–11

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that when you were Gentiles, you were led to mute idols. 3 Therefore I declare to you: No one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed.” And no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 4 There are different gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are different ministries, but the same Lord; 6 and there are different workings, but the same God, who works all things in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the common good. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings by one Spirit; 10 to another the working of miracles, and to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits, and to another various kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

1 Corinthians 12:28–31

28 which God has appointed in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers; then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I will show you a more excellent way.

Romans 12:4–8

4 For just as in one body we have many members, but not all the members have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 And having different gifts according to the grace given to us: if you have prophecy, prophesy according to the measure of faith; 7 if you have ministry, serve in the ministry; if teaching, in teaching; 8 if exhorting, exhort; if giving, give generously; if leading, lead diligently; if showing mercy, show mercy cheerfully.

Ephesians 4:7–13

7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore it says: When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts to people. 9 Now what does “He ascended” mean except that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edification of the Body of Christ, 13 until we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the words of God; if anyone ministers, let him minister with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there came a sound from heaven like a rushing, mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
