Our ministry has not merely a temporary effect, but a long-term one. You cannot even imagine what happens at gatherings like these. We are in the presence of the living God. And what we often talk about concerning faith—forget the word “faith.” But think about the fact that in Heaven no one doubts anything. No one there doubts anything. The atmosphere of Heaven is an atmosphere of complete trust in God.
We have not simply chosen some “hobbyhorse”—faith—and tried to talk about it frequently. If you like, you and I are changing the atmosphere of the earth into the atmosphere of Heaven, where it is easy for angels to act, easy for the Holy Spirit to act, and easy for the Lord Jesus to act.
Do you remember when He came to the city where He was? Because of their unbelief, He could not perform many miracles, but laid His hands on only a few. This is a problem.
Unbelief is always a problem for God. Not that God cannot forcefully leap over unbelief. He simply does not need to prove anything to anyone. He is not going to force things. But for us, this is a bonus priority: the one who believes has pleased God. Because everyone who comes to God must believe. And this is the only way we can please God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Neither by works nor by giving; the only thing Scripture says is that we can please God only by faith.
God does not doubt anything. And when He sees someone on this earth who is limited by physical laws but also doubts nothing, God says, “Oh. You pleased Me. You pleased Me. Well done.”
God understands that here we are limited by physical laws. And when we demonstrate faith here, Heaven rejoices, believe me. The cloud of witnesses applauds you. Because there they already see it all. Everything there already operates according to perfect laws. But when we live here in a world filled with darkness and are limited by certain physical laws and realities, when we demonstrate faith, Heaven rejoices. That is why it is written that we please God by faith—people living here on earth. Not those who are there. Faith is no longer needed there.
That is why we are not simply talking with you about some subject: faith, faith, faith. It has a long-term perspective. Because here, as we change our thinking and increasingly understand that this is possible for us, and that is possible, I can do this too, God can do this, and this is not a problem, we walk in the atmosphere of Heaven. That is, where everything is possible. Where the Word of God is the supreme authority to which everything beneath it submits. Hallelujah.
And therefore, we do not merely experience a temporary effect here. We leave heated like copper that was brought to the service while still dark. It falls into the fire of God’s presence and glows. We leave here glowing. And therefore, behind these doors, throughout the week, we make the right decisions, we fight, and we win. Hallelujah. Glory to the Lord.
We have more than a temporary effect, more than mere inspiration, and more than someone simply encouraging us. We are being set ablaze and living victorious lives. Wonderful! I love it.
