When I came to the proctologist, he asked me with a smile how I was feeling. I replied, “I’m healthy and feel wonderful.” He said that this could not be. When he examined me, his smile disappeared because he could not believe that everything was fine.
He began reviewing the scans of my previous condition and his former diagnosis, asking again whether it was really me. The doctor said he had not believed the treatment would help and had actually wanted to operate, but gave me a chance because I was opposed to any interventions.
