Matthew 24:27–31
27 For as lightning comes from the east and shines to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the eagles will gather. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven; and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory; 31 and He will send His angels with a great trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:36–44
36 But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven nor the Son, but only the Father alone; 37 For just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, 39 and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left; 41 two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: if the owner of the house had known at what watch of the night the thief would come, he would have kept watch and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.
John 14:1–3
1 Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.
Acts 1:9–11
9 After He had said this, He was lifted up before their eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. 10 As they were looking intently into the sky while He was going, suddenly two men in white clothing stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.”
1 Corinthians 15:51–52
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all die, but we will all be changed—52 in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
Philippians 3:20–21
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself.
1 Thessalonians 4:13–18
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 5:1–6
1 Now concerning the times and seasons, brothers, you have no need for anything to be written to you, 2 for you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and security,” then sudden destruction will overtake them, like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that the day should overtake you like a thief. 5 For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we are not sons of the night or of darkness. 6 Therefore, let us not sleep as the others do, but let us watch and be sober.
2 Thessalonians 1:7–10
7 and to give you who are afflicted relief along with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at on that day among all who have believed, because you believed our testimony.
Titus 2:11–13
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, 12 teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 while we await the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
2 Peter 3:10–14
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief [in the night], and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and all its works will be exposed [destroyed]. 11 Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 as you await and earnestly desire the coming of the day of God, when the heavens will be destroyed by fire and the elements will melt in the heat? 13 But according to His promise, we are awaiting new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. 14 Therefore, beloved, as you await these things, make every effort to be found by Him spotless and blameless, and at peace.
Revelation 1:7
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, including those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him. So be it. Amen!
Revelation 22:12
Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to repay each one according to his deeds.
Revelation 22:20
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus [Christ]!
