Luke 16:19–31
19 There was a certain rich man who dressed in purple and fine linen and feasted lavishly every day. 20 There was also a certain beggar named Lazarus, who lay at his gate covered with sores, 21 and desired to be fed with the crumbs falling from the rich man's table; moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The beggar died and was carried by angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes, saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom, 24 and crying out, he said: Father Abraham! Have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame. 25 But Abraham said: Child, remember that you received your good things during your lifetime, and Lazarus likewise received evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are suffering. 26 And besides all this, a great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that those who wish to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there cross over to us. 27 Then he said: Therefore I ask you, father, send him to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers; let him testify to them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment. 29 Abraham said to him: They have Moses and the prophets; let them listen to them. 30 But he said: No, Father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent. 31 Then Abraham said to him: If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not believe even if someone rises from the dead.
Revelation 20:11–15
11 I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what was written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. 15 And anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, unbelieving, defiled, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars will have their share in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.
Mark 9:43–48
43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than, having two hands, to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire, 44 [[where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.]] 45 If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than, having two feet, to be thrown into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire, 46 [[where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched]]. 47 If your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye than, having two eyes, to be thrown into fiery Gehenna, 48 where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.
Matthew 10:28
Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
Isaiah 66:24
And they will go out and see the corpses of those who rebelled against Me; for their worm will not die, and their fire will not be quenched; and they will be an abhorrence to all flesh.
Daniel 12:2
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, others to everlasting contempt and shame.
2 Thessalonians 1:7–9
7 and to give relief to you who are troubled, along with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of His power, 8 in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
Matthew 13:41–42
41 The Son of Man will send His angels, and they will gather out of His Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who practice lawlessness, 42 and throw them into the fiery furnace; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth;
