Frequently Asked Questions
What does CCM mean?
Contemporary Christian Music: “contemporary Christian music.” This term refers to songs from the Christian pop and rock scene played on the radio and available on streaming platforms.
How is Christian pop different from worship?
Worship songs are intended for the whole congregation to sing together, while Christian pop is usually performed by an artist and sounds like a typical popular song.
Can I add a favorite song?
Yes. In “My Playlist,” paste a link to a YouTube video, and the song will be saved to your list.
How do I transfer my playlist to another device?
There are two ways. 1) Link: open the “My Playlist” tab, click “Copy link to my playlist,” send it to yourself (via messenger or email), and open it on another device: the songs will be added to “My Playlist” there. 2) File: click “Export”; on a computer, the my-playlist-imbf.json file will be saved to the “Downloads” folder. On a smartphone, confirm the download: on iPhone, the file will appear in the “Files” app under “Downloads”; on Android, in the “Downloads” folder. Transfer the file to another device (via messenger, email, or cloud storage), open “My Playlist” there, click “Import,” and select this file.
How do I share my playlist with friends?
Open “My Playlist” and click “Copy link to my playlist,” then send the link to a friend. When they open it, your songs will be added to their “My Playlist.” You can also send the file: click “Export,” send the my-playlist-imbf.json file, and have your friend open “My Playlist” on the Music section page, click “Import,” and select the file. This works on computers and smartphones.
What happens to songs already in my playlist when I import?
Importing does not delete anything: new songs are added to the end of your list, while duplicates are skipped. If you need to clear the playlist, click “Clear” before importing. Tip: export your playlist from time to time to save a copy. The playlist is stored only in your browser and will disappear if you clear the site data.
