About the Genre: Christian Pop Rock
Christian pop rock, known in the United States as Christian Adult Contemporary (Christian AC), consists of melodic songs by bands featuring guitar, piano, and clear lyrics about life and faith. They are recorded for radio and concerts and listened to at home and on the road, rather than sung by the whole congregation in church. The genre’s roots lie in the soft rock of the 1970s.
This playlist features Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Newsboys, Third Day, Matthew West, Big Daddy Weave, Danny Gokey, Zach Williams, and others. The rock here is soft, without a hard-driving sound; if you need heavy guitars, open “Christian Rock.” For singing in church, see “Contemporary Worship” and “Praise.” The list is ordered by the number of YouTube views.
Artists in this playlist: Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Newsboys, Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, Zach Williams, Matthew West, Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Matt Redman.

How to use
Select a genre at the top and click a song in the list: the first song in the genre starts automatically unless you uncheck “Autoplay.” Songs in each collection are ordered by YouTube views. The search box on the right looks for a song across all collections.
- The crossed-out camera button hides the video while the music keeps playing. Handy for prayer and background listening.
- The arrow buttons turn on random order and list repeat.
- The moon button stops the music after 15–90 minutes, after a time you choose, or after the current song.
- The site remembers your last song and your place in it. Next time you visit, it offers to continue or start over.
- your listening history: you can replay a song or add it to your playlist from there. The crossed-circle icon next to a song removes it from automatic playback, and you can bring it back in the same block.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Christian Pop Rock?
It is melodic guitar music with Christian lyrics: songs by a band or artist written for radio, music videos, and concerts. In the United States, this format is called Christian Adult Contemporary, or Christian AC.
How Is It Different from Christian Pop and Rock?
Pop is usually more electronic and dance-oriented, while rock is heavier and more energetic. Pop-rock features guitar and piano, has a mid-tempo sound, and centers on melody and lyrics about life and faith.
How Is It Different from Worship Songs?
Worship songs are written for the whole Church to sing. Pop-rock songs are performed by a band and listened to like regular songs: on the road, at home, or at work.
Can I Add a Favorite Song?
Yes. In “My Playlist,” paste a link to a YouTube video, and the song will be saved to your list.
How Can I Transfer My Playlist to Another Device?
There are two ways. 1) Link: open the “My Playlist” tab, click “Copy Link to My Playlist,” send it to yourself (via messenger or email), and open it on another device: the songs will be added to “My Playlist” there. 2) File: click “Export,” and on a computer, the my-playlist-imbf.json file will be saved to the “Downloads” folder. On a smartphone, confirm the download: on iPhone, the file will appear in the “Files” app under “Downloads”; on Android, in the “Downloads” folder. Transfer the file to another device (via messenger, email, or cloud storage), open “My Playlist” there, click “Import,” and select this file.
How do I share a playlist with friends?
Open “My Playlist” and click “Copy link to my playlist,” then send the link to a friend. When they open it, your songs will be added to their “My Playlist.” You can also send a file: click “Export,” send the my-playlist-imbf.json file, and have your friend open “My Playlist” in the “Music” section, click “Import,” and select the file. This works on computers and smartphones.
What happens to songs already in my playlist when I import?
Importing does not delete anything: new songs are added to the end of your list, and duplicates are skipped. If you need to clear the playlist, click “Clear” before importing. Tip: export your playlist from time to time to save a copy. The playlist is stored only in your browser, and it will disappear if you clear the site's data.
