This happened during a prayer meeting in the church building. We worshiped for a long time with our eyes closed. The dark image before my eyes disappeared, and this bright vision appeared.
Before my eyes appeared a large modern city with skyscrapers. On the horizon, the first rays of sunlight were just beginning to appear. Everything was quiet; there was no noise, and it seemed that the city was asleep. Perhaps it was autumn, because the city was covered in morning mist, from which only the tops of the skyscrapers rose. In the rays of the rising sun, the mist seemed to glow.
Then I saw a huge boat over the city, moving through the sky from east to west. This boat was made of wood, yet it was one solid piece, without joints or seams. I think it was an ancient fishing boat. I could not see what was inside the boat; I could see only its lower part, which is usually submerged in water. The other, upper part may have been on the other side of the sky.
Very slowly, the boat floated over the rooftops of the skyscrapers, and it was several city blocks long.
Very slowly, emerging from the mist, people began rising toward the boat. They floated upward and, touching the boat, disappeared into it. It seemed as though the boat were drawing people to itself like a magnet. As the boat moved farther on, new people rose from the sleeping city and dissolved into it.
After this, I saw a couple of dark figures among all the people, also rising from the mist toward the boat. They were people, but strangely, they were not illuminated by the light. The rays of the rising sun illuminated the others, but these people remained dark despite the light.
These dark figures rose more slowly than the others, gradually slowing their ascent. Then I saw one of them rise just above the rooftops, stop, and begin slowly descending.
I wanted to examine this figure more closely, so I moved nearer until I could see the details. It was a man about fifty years old, and he looked very strange. His entire body was wrapped in various valuables, and he was frightened. Gold and silver objects protruded everywhere. They were in his pockets, tucked inside his shirt, and even in his sleeves. There were gold cups, forks, spoons, necklaces, chains, rings, precious stones, and other valuables.
It seemed to me that all these “metal objects” were dragging him downward with their full weight. The dark figure sank back into the mist and dissolved into it.
The boat continued moving over the city, gathering people, and the vision ended.
