In the vision, I saw a modern city from a bird’s-eye view. The city was plunged into darkness, as if enveloped in a dense fog.
There was not a single source of light, as if all the electricity had been switched off. Yet despite the darkness, life in the city did not stop—everyone continued moving. I could barely make out the silhouettes of people and cars hurrying about their business. I was amazed that they could find their way in such darkness, since even the cars’ headlights were not shining.
Suddenly, I noticed a flash of light in one of the windows. It was small, resembling a candle flame, and soon went out. Another light appeared elsewhere, then another, and they all lit up and went out in different parts of the city.
Intrigued, I drew closer to one of the houses, where the light was burning longer than the others. Looking through the window, I saw a person kneeling and praying. Light shone around him, but there was no visible source—it seemed as if the air itself was glowing around him. When the person finished praying, the light gradually disappeared.
I continued observing and saw light appear around a person who was visiting and praying for someone who was sick. Then I noticed someone feeding hungry homeless children, and light shone there as well. I also saw a gathering of believers praying together, and light shone around them too.
Suddenly, a huge, bright arc the color of fire appeared in the sky. It moved slowly over the city. Despite its dazzling radiance, the city remained in darkness. When the arc flew over certain parts of the city, the little lights I had seen earlier rose up and dissolved into it.
This was where the vision ended.
