Serious Leg Injury Supernaturally Healed

February 24, 2021

A young man shared his experience of the supernatural healing of his leg after a serious injury.

It happened last year. As I was getting off a trolleybus, my foot twisted sideways because of uneven pavement, and I put all my weight on it. It crackled and popped around the ankle, and I simply fell onto that leg. The pain was so severe that I couldn’t even crawl away from the trolleybus doors for some time. I crawled to the curb and continued enduring excruciating pain. I couldn’t even stand up to make it to the bus stop.

At the time, I worked night shifts, and when I reached work, I saw that my ankle was swollen and “burning” while the pain continued. I suppose this is what people experience with fractures. After examining my leg, my coworkers said it looked like a fracture, but if I was lucky, I had merely torn some ligaments.

But I had nothing to compare it with, since I had never broken a bone in my life. And I had often thanked God for that, because I live a fairly extreme lifestyle, and there had been hundreds of dangerous situations. This ordinary injury, occurring out of nowhere, greatly surprised me. It was Thursday evening.

We had a church service on Saturday. I deliberately took a “before” photo of my leg so that, if a miracle happened, I could take an “after” photo. Logically, I should have gone to the clinic on Friday for an X-ray. But I decided to wait for the Saturday service, and after struggling to get to church in the morning, I was still enduring considerable pain and noticeably limping.

One of the youth ministers said, “It’s okay—you’ll go rollerblading with us this evening, you’ll see.” I replied that I didn’t disagree and that anything was possible. But I didn’t have much faith. Still, I didn’t deny that my leg could be miraculously healed, since such things happen regularly at our services, right before our eyes. I would already have been very happy if it turned out there was no fracture.

I remember that at first I decided not to ask anyone for prayer, because I knew that the corporate prayers, as well as the very atmosphere and presence of God in that place, were more than enough. Besides, those who had seen me limping had probably blessed my healing from a distance.

In the end, without any special prayers with the laying on of hands or anything like that, I noticed during the break after the worship and the first service that the pain in my ankle had gone, and I could put full weight on it. I still stepped carefully, afraid that a sharp pain might suddenly appear. That morning, the pain had been so severe that I had thought about taking a taxi to the service. By the end of the second service, I was already walking with complete confidence and could even jump on that leg.

I went up to that minister afterward and jumped around beside him. We praised God and went rollerblading that evening after all. My leg was still swollen, but there was no pain. A day or two later, it had returned to normal. Completely, without any consequences, with the same flexibility and mobility as before. Praise God!
