“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…” (James 5:15).
“And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name… they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17–18).
“…For I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26).
We should never question the Word of God, because God cannot lie. Whatever God says, He is able to do. And God is not merely able to fulfill His promise according to the Word of God; He will certainly do so. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent. Hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19).
God will turn this old world upside down and inside out before He allows even one of His promises to go unfulfilled.
Everyone deserves to be trusted until they prove themselves untrustworthy. Clearly, no one deserves more trust than God, because He always fulfills every one of His promises. This Almighty, unchanging God has promised to heal you of all your diseases. He does not merely give you hope of healing. It is a promise. It is the clear, firm Word of God.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases” (Psalm 103:2–3).
Believe God’s Promises
God heals every kind of disease. Whatever your illness may be, God has promised to deliver you from it. God promised to forgive your sins; He promised to deliver you from sickness, and GOD COULD NOT LIE.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all” (Ps. 34:19). Here is another wonderful promise spoken by the One who sits enthroned in Heaven. Can the Lord break His covenant or change what has proceeded from His mouth? NO! A million times NO! “I will not break My covenant, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips” (Ps. 89:34). God will never change these promises; nowhere will you read that He will deliver you from SOME diseases or from SEVERAL afflictions.
God will fulfill exactly what is stated in His promises. He will deliver you from all your ailments and heal you of every disease. The Lord said: “...for I am the Lord who heals you” (Exod. 15:26). If the Lord healed His people yesterday, He heals His people today as well, for God does not change. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Heb. 13:8). We know that tomorrow He will do what He did yesterday. Christ, who healed yesterday, is Christ who heals today.
Did Jesus mean what He said: “And these signs will accompany those who believe”? Absolutely! Categorically! EXACTLY what He said. He promised: “...in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; THEY WILL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, AND THEY WILL RECOVER” (Mark 16:17–18). God gives us this promise: when a believer lays hands on you, you will be healed of all your ailments and diseases! God intends to do exactly what He says. You will recover. It will come to pass!
Can God lie? No! Therefore, simply believe this and heed it; and IT WILL COME TO PASS. Rely on this promise of God, memorize it, repeat it. Repeat it again and again until it becomes ingrained in you, until you fully believe it. And if you BELIEVE it, it WILL COME TO PASS.
God Will Keep His Word
God says: “...for I am watching over My word to perform it” (Jer. 1:12). God stands behind His Word with all the authority of Heaven and earth. God, by whose word the earth came into being, says that His Word will soon be fulfilled. His promises rest on the full power of His authority. Nothing can prevent God from fulfilling His promise or carrying out what He has promised.
This is the GUARANTEE that has proceeded from the mouth of God. This guarantee will heal you of all your diseases, all your ailments, and all your physical disabilities. No guarantee in the world has ever been backed by greater authority and faith. But no guarantee can be realized unless its conditions are fulfilled. A guarantee always contains clear instructions. The promises are broad and freely offered. They are for YOU if you are willing to believe them, receive them, and act accordingly.
Again and again, our hearts overflow with joy when we see people delivered from all kinds of diseases, whose healing became possible when they accepted God’s promise as their own. When we humbly present God’s promise to believers and stretch out our hands toward the sick, painful illnesses that have forced people to endure years of suffering either disappear immediately or begin to disappear from that moment. In the congregation, we have repeatedly seen this happen to many people who dared to believe that God firmly intends to fulfill what He has said.
Yet there are also those who leave in distress. They came hoping to receive what others had received, but it did not happen for them. Why? Because they failed to grasp the importance of following all of God’s instructions. Either they could not understand what was expected of them for their own healing, or they simply decided that consistently following the instructions was not so important.
You Must Follow All the Instructions
Many people with illnesses go to a doctor. He gives them two or three packages of pills with complicated instructions (pink pills—one every two hours, white pills—three times a day, gray pills—one before bedtime). The doctor also strongly advises them to follow a strict diet and prescribes a tincture for external use. How carefully they follow all these instructions! They hope that all these remedies will bring at least some relief. If the result is negative, they will try something else!
But when God Himself guarantees that you will be completely healed if you follow His instructions, it is certainly worth taking the time to become familiar with them. And if you follow them as carefully as a doctor's prescriptions, nothing will be able to hinder your healing!
Do you want to be healed? God wants this even more. If you carefully follow these instructions, God Himself will send you His guarantees of healing. Follow the instructions sincerely and faithfully. Accept God's promise as simply as you accept the promises of a trustworthy friend. When you do this, you will feel the joy of relief right NOW, because your healing IS GUARANTEED.
