About the Genre: Soaking Music
Soaking is the practice of quietly resting in the presence of God with peaceful, usually instrumental music, without rushing. A gentle background plays while you pray, listen, or simply rest before the Lord.
This collection includes instrumental recordings by William Augusto, Julie True, Victoria Orenze, Steven Moctezuma, and others, including extended recordings lasting an hour or more. Some recordings feature a voice: prayer or Scripture reading (with “Scriptures,” “Bible Verses,” or “Prayer” in the titles). Turn on “No Video” mode so nothing distracts you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is soaking?
It is a time of silence and quiet music when we remain in the presence of God. The word “soaking” means “to soak.”
How long should I listen?
There are no rules: you can listen for 15 minutes, or for an hour or more. Many recordings in the collection are long.
Is there music for prayer with a clearer melody?
Yes, open the “Instrumental Piano Music for Prayer” page.
How do I transfer my playlist to another device?
There are two ways. 1) Link: open the “My Playlist” tab, click “Copy link to my playlist,” send it to yourself (via messenger or email), and open it on another device; the songs will be added to “My Playlist” there. 2) File: click “Export”; on a computer, the my-playlist-imbf.json file will be saved to the “Downloads” folder. On a smartphone, confirm the download: on iPhone, the file will appear in the “Files” app under “Downloads”; on Android, in the “Downloads” folder. Transfer the file to another device (via messenger, email, or cloud storage), open “My Playlist” there, click “Import,” and select this file.
How do I share a playlist with friends?
Open “My Playlist” and click “Copy link to my playlist,” then send the link to a friend. When they open it, your songs will be added to their “My Playlist.” You can also send the file: click “Export,” send the my-playlist-imbf.json file, and have your friend open “My Playlist” in the “Music” section, click “Import,” and select the file. This works on computers and smartphones.
What happens to songs already in my playlist when I import?
Importing does not delete anything: new songs are added to the end of your list, while duplicates are skipped. If you need to clear the playlist, click “Clear” before importing. Tip: export your playlist from time to time to save a copy. The playlist is stored only in your browser and will disappear if you clear site data.
How to use
