Dmitriy Leo. Our Remarkable Experience of Raising the Dead

February 22, 2017

Sitting on the edge of the bed, the boy said to his mother, — “Mom, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me; my time is up. Jesus is taking me to Heaven.”

The boy was dying of blood cancer, and metastases had spread throughout his body. The lymph nodes in his neck had swollen so much that his neck had merged with his head. His head became incredibly large. Because of the tissue damage, the boy could no longer speak; he could barely hear and move.

We prayed for the boy many times over the course of two weeks.

One day, when we entered the house, the boy’s mother came out in tears and said, “My son has just died.” We hurried into the room and began praying intensely. I remember that he was still warm, so we prayed and cried out very loudly. I don’t remember how long we prayed like that, but when the ambulance arrived, we had to leave the room and allow the doctors to take the boy’s body.

We left feeling discouraged because, a few days before his death, we had seen progress: the boy received the prayer of repentance, all his pain left him, and he no longer needed pain medication. He listened to an audio Bible, and there were several other improvements in his health. But… the boy died and was not raised.

I prayed and asked the Lord why this had happened. My friends also prayed and asked. The answer we received was something like this: “You all did everything right. I took him home.” We did not agree with this answer and thought our minds had made it up. But…

A few days later, the boy’s mother told us an interesting story.

A couple of days before his death, after we had prayed especially intensely and left (and I remember that it was a fiery prayer for the boy), her son got up and sat on the edge of the bed! I want you to understand that his muscles had already atrophied, and people had been carrying him recently. Sitting on the edge of the bed, the boy said to his mother:

“Mom, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me; my time is up. Jesus is taking me to Heaven.”

But he could not speak! His vocal cords had been damaged, and his throat was constricted by tumors!

It was a genuine miracle! The boy’s mother thanked us for ministering to her son and for the fact that he received Jesus and went to Heaven. This news encouraged us, although we still had many questions.

Let’s continue to believe—and believe for more!
With love, Dmitriy Leo
