Dmitriy Leo. Why Anointed People Get Sick and Burn Out

September 24, 2020

Dmitriy Leo, pastor of Father’s Blessing Church, shared a word: “Why Anointed People Get Sick and Burn Out.” Excerpt from the Miracles and Wonders 2 service dated September 19, 2020.

It is understandable why ordinary people go through this, but why key anointed ministers—is the question.

Almost everyone begins ministry with a good relationship with God. Then faithful people join the ministry and take on part of the work. The Lord also sends ministering and equipping angels to a permanent location. The angels begin doing a great deal of work to support the ministry. Thus, the ministry develops and grows successfully.

At this stage, the key person gradually changes their priorities. Most often, key people become drawn into administrative work and maintaining internal and external relationships with the right people. This is inevitable for every developing ministry.

The ministry grows, connections multiply, and the key leader needs to keep these connections active. However, most key anointed ministers experience a shift in values from heavenly to earthly. They are forced to limit the time spent with God in favor of time spent on ministry.

This leads to the spiritual exhaustion of the leading minister, and they grow weak. They begin to hear and see less clearly what is happening in the spiritual realm. This also affects the physical body, and it begins to break down. At the same time, the ministry continues to develop.

What should you do?

There is only one solution: do not disrupt the balance between the heavenly and the earthly.

Spiritual self-assessment.

  • If spiritual experiences and encounters have become rare.
  • If the ability to hear and receive from heaven has diminished.
  • If weakness and illness appear despite prayers.

It means that balance has already been disrupted.

What works well?

The more popularity grows, the more often balance and solitude are needed.

Luke 5:15 But the news about Him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases. 16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

The answer – solitude.

  • Intentional solitude, following Jesus’ example. It’s time for me to withdraw.
  • Scheduled solitude. Sometimes the mind becomes dull, and planning helps.
  • Emergency solitude. When you must enter into rest.

This will preserve key anointed ministers from weakness, illness, burnout, and many other problems.
