That morning I was in the Spirit, and I went to the place I use for morning prayer. I began asking the Holy Spirit important questions and was very surprised by His answers.
1. Holy Spirit, why do we pray aloud when God even knows our thoughts?
When you pray aloud, you give angels guidance and direction for their ministry.
Matt. 4:11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Heb. 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
Rev. 22:8–9 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that! For I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers the prophets and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”
Angels are sent to serve and help you in everything that aligns with God’s will for your lives. Angels do not grow tired of serving, so the more you pray and reveal your needs and desires, the more you can count on the help of angels.
2. Holy Spirit, when people do not communicate with You, how does this affect their lives and ministry?
When you have no connection with Me, you act based on feelings and knowledge. When you have a connection with Me, you receive precise guidance and answers.
John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
By listening to what I say and obeying, you will avoid many mistakes and troubles into which many of you have fallen by making wrong decisions. You see only the present; I know the future.
3. Holy Spirit, why do I sometimes want to read Scripture, but at other times I do not? Why does this happen? What should we do in such cases?
The carnal human nature always resists the Word of God. It hates all kinds of restrictions and is satisfied when it is free and gets what it wants.
The Word of God is an adversary to the flesh because it teaches us how to overcome the flesh.
Gal. 5:16–17 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
If you neglect the Word, you will not be able to refrain from sinning. If you walk by the Spirit according to the Word of God, you will change and grow, and the flesh will not be able to prevent you from doing what you want to do.
4. Holy Spirit, many people are dissatisfied with their finances. Many have less than they need, even though they give financially. Why does this happen?
You do not know the Scriptures and do not understand many principles. You need to start with your heart. You are doing everything backwards: you think about giving, but do not think about the heart. You fail to notice that it is not the giving but your heart that plays the important role.
2 Cor. 9:7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver
Matt. 5:23–24 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Mark 12:41–44 Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”
When you understand these truths and act accordingly, you will see an increase in financial blessings, even while remaining in the same circumstances and giving as much as you gave before.
5. Why are there so many attacks and difficulties in Christian families? What are we doing wrong? Many families are dissatisfied with their situation.
A great number of demons have been released to attack and destroy families. The family remains the enemy’s primary target. Remember this and be watchful in prayer. The more often the whole family abides in the Word and prayer, the easier it will be to resist the enemy’s plans. Many households are not like Cornelius’s household, which is why many people in them have still not been saved.
Acts 10:1–2 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people and prayed to God always.
6. Is it better to make yourself pray, study the Bible, or attend a meeting, or should you wait until you feel prompted to do these things willingly?
When you cross the road and stop at a red light, do you force yourself to do it, or do you do it willingly? You willingly make yourself do it for your own safety and the safety of others.
Do exactly the same in spiritual matters, and then you and those around you will be safe.
Matt. 26:41 Watch and pray, so that you will not fall into temptation: the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak
You will have to make yourself do certain things or make yourself refrain from doing certain things, but you will do so willingly, knowing that it will benefit you.
7. Holy Spirit, what do You value most in us? What do we need to pay attention to first?
You are very inconsistent. You know what is good for you, but you do not do it. You need to be consistent in what is good for you and others. Inconsistency is an enemy that has deprived many of what they were called to do and what they could have had. Consistency will help you fulfill God’s purpose for your life and achieve victories.
8. Holy Spirit, why do we sometimes feel Your presence and sometimes do not? What does it depend on?
You feel it when you are being filled or when you are in a place that is full. But you cannot feel it in every place, and not everyone carries the same measure of presence.
Acts 5:14–16 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
