You know, I want to read a passage from Scripture. We are going to pray about something now. Romans, chapter eight, verse eleven.
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Amen.
This concerns not only some distant future. Here, the word “give life” means to restore, heal, make whole, and bring to life.
The One who raised Jesus from the dead by the Holy Spirit—the Holy Spirit carries out all this work.
Someone’s eyes were opened—that was the Holy Spirit’s work.
Someone came out of the grave unharmed—that was the Holy Spirit’s work.
Someone throws away their crutches—the Holy Spirit is doing this work.
The One who raised Jesus from the dead by His Spirit will give life to our bodies through the Spirit who lives in us. Through this same Spirit, the Holy Spirit.
Let us simply raise our hands before the Lord and say, “You know, it is such a wonderful opportunity we have that God dwells in us by the Holy Spirit.”
And this is exactly what is written: “He does not merely come to visit from time to time—He dwells in us. God has chosen us as His dwelling place, the place of His continual presence.”
And He dwells in us by the Holy Spirit.
You and I—we are a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit.
And He raised Jesus from the dead, and He dwells in us.
And we can ask, “Bring my body to life. Restore my body. Make it whole. Deliver my body from injury.”
Simply ask and say, “Lord, I thank You. I believe Your Word.
Thank You for dwelling in me by the Holy Spirit.”
Bring me to life, bring my body to life, bring my bones to life.
Put my blood in order, Lord.
Make me whole, without blemish or deficiency.
This is our prayer.
Make me whole. Amen.
