During one of my trips to the prophet T. B. Joshua, I realized that I should ask not for anointing, but to understand how and why the power of God operates. When this understanding comes, God can release more power upon us and through us. The prophet teaches that when we become ready to receive power, we will receive it immediately.
The day before meeting Joshua, I prayed and thought about what to tell him and how to ask him to pray for me again in a special way. The previous time, the prophet prayed for me and released power that I could feel. This produced results in our ministry, and the number of miracles increased.
However, I came to Nigeria again to receive another miracle—a second portion. After praying, I understood that if our ministry and I were ready for a new portion of power, we would receive it even without asking the prophet. If we were not ready, then even if he prayed ten times, nothing would change. After that, I calmed down and went to sleep.
An Interesting Dream
The prophet T. B. Joshua approached my bed. At that moment, I was lying there and looking at him, thinking, “It feels somewhat awkward to appear like this before a man of God.” It was so real that only later did I realize it had happened in a dream. The prophet came up to me, smiled, and asked in English, “How are you?” I answered, “I'm ok, I'm fine.” He unwrapped a new Bible, and I had the thought that perhaps he wanted to give me a gift.
Then, standing at the edge of my bed, T. B. Joshua leaned over me and touched me. I could make out some words in English; he was praying, and the word “anointing” was audible.
Then the prophet took oil and poured it over my head. The oil covered my entire head, and there was so much of it that I thought at that moment, “At least the pillow didn't get stained with oil.”
Suddenly, I felt the oil that was on my hair enter inside me. At the same time, I felt a pleasant coolness on my head. Something happened throughout my body; I felt an extraordinarily pleasant sensation, and my whole body began to sink somewhere, and I sank into “nowhere.” I simply flew somewhere into space. Then I opened my eyes. I was still lying in the room on my bed.
I immediately felt my head, as I still felt that it was wet with oil, but it was dry; nevertheless, it felt as though my head was covered in oil. I was somewhat shocked because everything was so real that I could not understand whether it had really happened or whether I had been dreaming. My heart was pounding.
Then I had the thought that I should look at the clock to find out what time it was.
I looked, and the clock showed 4:55. For some reason, the number 4:54 kept coming to mind, since I had woken up before looking at the clock. I had the thought that this was a passage of Scripture from God for me. Later, I looked through the entire Bible. The only passage in the Bible with this reference is John 4:54.
“This was the second miracle that Jesus performed after coming from Judea to Galilee.”
I immediately wrote down this dream so I would not forget its details.
That day, I had a meeting with the prophet T. B. Joshua. I wanted to ask him for an impartation of power and a refreshing of the anointing, but I did not have time to say anything to him. He began praying for me himself, and I received what I had asked the man of God for. It was a good lesson for me: God does everything at the right time. However, we must be ready for it to happen.
