Dmitriy Leo. 20 Things That Influence Church Attendance and Size

September 29, 2017

This information will be useful for pastors and church leaders. There are helpful things worth paying attention to and implementing in your church as soon as possible.

  1. 80% of people come to Jesus before the age of 30. This is a priority group for evangelism.
  2. 90% of people came to church because someone invited them. People need to be invited to church.
  3. Of every 10 people who repent, 2 remain in the church, provided that they have formed friendships with people in the church.
  4. If newcomers do not build relationships in the church, they will leave sooner or later.
  5. The more a leader spreads himself thin among different people, the fewer people will follow him and remain with him.
  6. People who do not participate in ministry but only attend church services will not build deep relationships with the church.
  7. The longer a service lasts, the fewer people will be able to attend it. Exceptions include schools, conferences, and revival services.
  8. People who are not involved in anything in the church are a constant source of problems.
  9. If a church has no stages for developing leaders, some of them will leave the church.
  10. Leaders whom others follow: 1. Gifted. 2. Organized.
  11. If a church has no children's ministry, this will affect the number of young families attending the church.
  12. Most guests judge a church by looking at its main gathering. The main gathering determines whether people will come again.
  13. Most people looking for a new church judge it by the number and quality of its ministries and programs. They say they are looking for God and anointing, but in reality, they are looking for the church's advantages.
  14. Successful churches make the main service excellent and move everything else beyond it.
  15. A church without healthy, functioning small groups will not grow.
  16. An information packet (guest welcome pack) for guests increases the likelihood that they will return.
  17. People are willing to give when there are specific projects in which everyone can participate.
  18. Ninety-five percent of people leave a church because of dissatisfaction, because they are in conflict with someone in the church.
  19. A small group will not be successful or grow if it has two or three potential leaders.
  20. Home groups where the leader does everything do not grow. The leader should provide direction, while everyone should minister through their gifts.
